About This Class

A little different, a little more dimensional — this class explores a whole new side of glass.

In this workshop, you’ll create a cast glass heart by filling a mold with glass and firing it in the kiln. Instead of layering flat designs, you’ll work with volume, color, and depth to create a piece that feels solid and sculptural.

It’s a unique process with beautiful results — perfect if you’re ready to try something beyond traditional fused glass.

✨ What You'll Do

You’ll fill a mold with glass pieces, frit, and color to create a cast glass heart. Your piece will be kiln-fired to melt and form into a solid, dimensional shape.

• Basics of glass casting techniques

• How to work with molds and volume

• How color and thickness affect the final result

• How kiln firing creates dimensional glass forms

🎨 What You’ll Make

A set of 9 solid cast glass hearts with depth, color, and a smooth finished surface.

👕 What to Wear

• Wear something you don’t mind getting a little messy — this is a hands-on class.

• Please wear close-toed shoes, no loose clothing, and hair tied back for safety

🛠️ What to Bring

• All materials and tools included. 

• If you wear reading glasses, bring them with you.

• If you have personal protective equipment (safety glasses, dust mask, etc.), feel free to bring it. Otherwise, we’ll provide what you need.
