About This Class

Light, color, and a little bit of magic — butterflies just belong in stained glass.

In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of stained glass while creating your own butterfly suncatcher. You’ll cut, shape, foil, and solder your piece with guidance every step of the way.

It’s a fun, hands-on way to try something new and walk away with something that catches the light beautifully.

✨ What You'll Do

You’ll complete your project over two sessions, with optional studio time between classes to finish prep work if needed.

• Day 1 focuses on cutting, shaping, grinding, and foiling your glass pieces.

• Day 2 is all about soldering, finishing, and bringing your piece to life.

We’ll guide you through each step — so you can focus on learning, creating, and enjoying the process.

👕 What to Wear

• Wear something you don’t mind getting a little messy — this is a hands-on class.

• Please wear close-toed shoes, no loose clothing, and hair tied back for safety

🛠️ What to Bring

• All materials and tools included. 

• If you wear reading glasses, bring them with you.

• If you have personal protective equipment (safety glasses, dust mask, etc.), feel free to bring it. Otherwise, we’ll provide what you need.

• *Due to the use of lead during soldering, we do not recommend students that are pregnant or breastfeeding take our stained glass classes.

• This is a 2-day, start-to-finish class — you’ll cut, assemble, and solder your own piece

• Plan on having some homework between sessions — most students need extra time to finish grinding and foiling

• Expect a hands-on, slightly messy, super fun experience
